Victory Garden Recieves New Installation by Architecture Students

The Victory Garden, which is located right outside the downtown area on Olivier Street, received a new installation by architecture students.  The installation serves as panels in a fence on the side of the site.  Architecturally the installation explores various forms of expression coupled with spatial and poetic qualities.  Many of the pieces are dynamic or "hands on" in order to provide interaction with the public.  Victory Garden is a community space in memory of Jillian Johnson, who was killed during the theater shooting.  Her vision for the area is now taking place right outside of the downtown area.  The garden itself is modeled after the victory gardens that popped up after WWII.
