COURhouse Completion

The Building Institute continues to have a deep impact on our student’s education, local neighborhoods, and people’s lives.  This last year Undergraduate and Graduate students under the direction of Professor Gjertson and Assistant Professor Kivett completed the COURhouse. 

This is the third urban infill house to be designed and built by the School of Architecture and Design. As Gjertson writes in his upcoming book, Generating Hope, about the BeauSoleil Louisiana Solar Home and the Building Institute, “Although one home cannot change a neighborhood, maybe three or more can.”
