Professor Hector LaSala Honored at the AIA Louisiana Conference on Architecture

Professor Hector LaSala was recently honored as the 2020 Louisiana Architecture Foundation's Patron of Architecture at the AIA Louisiana Conference on Architecture. The annual conference was held virtually from September 23rd through 25th, bringing together architects, designers, and sponsors from around Louisiana and beyond. In the presentation of the award, Eddie Cazayoux, architect and former School of Architecture and Design Director, outlined Professor LaSala's achievements and pedogogical impact on the SoAD over 45 years in the department. In his tribute, Cazayoux described LaSala as an "...Exceptional educator in the creative thinking process of design". Professor LaSala retired this past spring after 45 years of educating designers in the Acadiana region.
