Three third-year Industrial Design students and Associate Professor Adam Feld, attended the IDesign conference this weekend at the University of Houston (UH). This student-led event was hosted by UH’s Student Industrial Designers Society of America (SIDSA). The event held ice-breakers, raffles (which one of our students won a prize!), portfolio reviews, a fantastic talk by Brian Roterman of In2Innovation, as well as a career fair. It had been three years since the last student-run conference and this weekend’s event was a great kickoff to more like these. Students who attended were given a chance to see design education from another point of view and made great connections for the years to follow.
